Should You Wear A Mask?

Should you wear a mask to protect yourself from the COVID-19 virus?

Masks are to be worn in public spaces in situations where social distancing is impossible to maintain. Examples include public transit, busy sidewalks, essential business including grocery stores, and gas stations.

The CDC highly recommends covering your mouth/nose with a cloth (mask like covering) when in a public space. Surgical masks and N95 masks are critical hospital supplies to be reserved for the use of healthcare workers to protect those fighting this virus on the front lines.

The best way to protect yourself and others against this virus is by washing your hands regularly, maintaining your distance from people( at least 6 feet) who are coughing or sneezing, and by coughing/sneezing into your elbow or a disposable tissue. Continue to practice social distancing.
